Sacrament of Holy Orders

“Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate.” - Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1536

Men of the parish who feel called to the Sacrament of Holy Orders, either as priests or deacons, are encouraged to talk to the priests of the parish for guidance and counsel. The Diocese of Arlington Office of Vocations has additional resources and support for those who are discerning a vocation to the religious life. They can be reached at vocations@arlingtondiocese.org or 703-841-2514.

Parish Vocations Committee

The Parish Vocations Committee consists of volunteers who implement diocesan programs within the parish to stimulate vocations to the religious life, consecrated life, or priesthood. Contact Meredith Hinkle at 703-273-5848 or mahink@cox.net for more information or to volunteer.
