Announcement from Mrs. Therese Ryan, Director of Youth Ministry

Dear friends,

In our lives, there are seasons that change and flow, and the older we get, the more we recognize the signs of these changes and perceive God's gentle but certain leading. After eight wonderful years as the Director of Youth Ministry here at St. Ambrose, it is time for me to step aside and make room for our next DYM.  I will finish out this year and will be stepping down in June.  There has been no event that led me to this decision. I have been praying and discerning for well over a year, and have certitude and a peace about it.

Our youth ministry program has built on the witness and efforts of those who served before us and my successor will take what we have done and continue to build and grow it for the good of our parish youth. Please begin praying for the person God is preparing to fill this role and for us as we begin the search process.

I praise and thank God for allowing me to serve as the Director of Youth Ministry here at St. Ambrose, it has been a great joy to do so. I am so grateful to Father Fisher for entrusting me with this position and to all our clergy for their encouragement, prayers and support over the years. To the teens and their families, thank you, I am blessed by the time we have had together and honored to have walked beside you on your journey of  faith. A heartfelt thank you to all the youth ministry volunteers who have worked tirelessly beside me in this vineyard for our Lord, you are a blessing and an inspiration. To our parishioners, thank you for your constant prayers which surrounded our teens with grace at difficult moments and your generous support which made World Youth Day, our retreats and mission trips possible. Finally, thank you to my husband John and our children who have so generously assisted me in this ministry by their service, loving encouragement and  prayers.

God bless.

Your sister in Christ,
Mrs. Therese Ryan

"Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I give thanks to my God in every remembrance of you, always in all my prayers making supplication for you all with joy." - Philippians 1:2-4
